Franchard Isatis parking problem

Especially during the winter closure from 1 November until 15 March

At peak times and during the winter closure, the Franchard Isatis car park is too small to accommodate all hikers and climbers heading to Franchard Isatis, Franchard Cuisinière, and Franchard Sablons in the weekends.

Capacity is very limited during the winter closure (1 November–15 March), when only the small front section of the car park remains open.

Parking limited for (camper)vans

During the day, (camper)vans may park only in the front section of the car park. Because many drivers aren’t aware the car park extends further, regular cars often fill this area as well, leaving very limited space for campervans.

Parking along the road (D409) near the park entrance is prohibited

Because parking is limited, people often leave their cars along the D409 near the car park entrance. This is prohibited; no-parking signs are posted.

Parking full? Go to another area

Although it’s frustrating when spaces run out, do not park illegally. Please respect local residents. Choose another area instead and help prevent a full closure.
