Bivouacs Fontainebleau

Sleeping at a bivouac for one night

In Fontainebleau three bivouac sites can be found where you can sleep in your tent for one night: Bourron-Marlotte, Faisanderie and Hippodrome de la Solle. These bivouacs are not campsites:

No tents during the day

The bivouacs are made for hikers that can sleep on the bivouac during a multi-day hike. The one night only rules practicaly means that there are no tents on the bivouac sites during the day. Next to that it is not recommended to leave your tent on a bivouac site because there is no supervision.

No facilities

The bivouac sites don't have toilet or shower facilities. A water tap can be found at the Bivouac of Bourron-Marlotte. The water tap at Faisanderie is closed (since 2024).

No fires

Making fires is forbidden in all of the forest

Leave no trace

Take your trash with you and bury your toilet paper, keep the bivouacs and their suroundings clean.
